Striving to make the city of Princeton a livable community for people of ALL ages.
Age-Friendly Princeton is a community-driven, city sponsored initiative that began in November 2020 as Princeton became the eighth city added to Minnesota's Age-Friendly Communities. Our goal is to make the Princeton area a better place for residents of ALL ages. A place where they can live healthy, active lives and can thrive in all stages of life.
Livable communities include essential features referred to as 'domains of livability' that allow residents of all ages and

backgrounds to thrive. These include mixed-use zoning, safe a and varied transportation options, and diversity of housing types. Livable communities also include public spaces that benefit everyone and access to essential businesses, such as grocery stores. And it equitably serves residents of all ages, ability levels, incomes, races, ethnicities, and other backgrounds.

The city of Princeton has joined twenty-six other Minnesota cities and counties with AARP's Livable Community Program, pledging to serve is residents through fostering a sense of community that is age-friendly. Princeton strives to be a community that thrives on engagement and support between community leaders, businesses, volunteers and residents across all ages.
"Livable communities are good for people and good for business. They are places where Americans increasingly want to live, work and play. Whether a person is young or old, starting a family or a business, livable communities provide a host of appealing advantages that enhance the quality of life of residents, the economic prospects of businesses, and the bottom lines of local governments."
