The Princeton park and trail system offers numerous recreational opportunities. From the unpaved hiking trails through Pioneer Park, to the dog park and disc golf course in Riebe Park, the pickleball courts in Civic Center Park, the camping, fishing, and canoeing in Riverside Park, and the athletic fields in Mark Park - the city park and trail system has something for everyone!

Princeton Community Education is committed to bridging the gap between community and our schools. We provide programs that connect Princeton residents with their surrounding area communities. The Princeton School District Community Education program provides opportunities for youth, families and community members to participate in a variety of enrichment, recreation and academic courses for a lifetime of learning and connecting.

SHERBURNE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

The refuge offers people a chance to unplug and relax. Locals can enjoy regular trips to the refuge and enjoy the change of seasons. Twin Cities residents can make the short drive north for a daytrip in nearby nature. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the wide variety of activities available at the refuge.

GREAT NORTHERN REGIONAL BIKE TRAIL

The Great Northern Regional Trail is a newly expanded paved surface popular for biking, inline skating and walking.  The paved length extends 8.5 miles from the south end in Elk River to Lion’s Park in Zimmerman and is only the start of a vision to complete trail construction on the entirety of the original 30 mile historic railroad bed where it would terminate in Milaca.  Partners have been working together to solicit input on the future expansion and plan according to community needs.

In addition to the MIlle Lacs County Fair there are many other events hosted at the fair grounds through the year. Cehck the events page to see what's coming next! The fairgrounds also offers secure winter storage and building rental for events such as weddings and reunions.
